The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce and what it does for our community


As an active member on the Board of Directors for the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce I would like to discuss some of the work we do to connect the Outer Banks.


Networking and Connecting- Committed to providing opportunities for building strong businesses, relationships, and opportunities. Business After Hours, Morning Schmooze, Ribbon Cuttings, Travel Program, Chamber in the 'Hood, and Chamber "Meet Ups"


Promotional Opportunities- Committed to providing opportunities for businesses, promotion, and visibility. Sponsorships, Advertising, OBX MADE, Outer Banks Street Map, Outer Banks Experience Magazine, Member Directory, Member to Member Discounts, Discount Coupons.


Events- Ensuring the Chamber's position and ability to support the local and regional business community. Reverse Raffle, Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration, Annual Auction, Women's Luncheon, Tiny Home Festival, OBX Seafood Festival Management.


Community & Economic Development- Supporting a climate where business can grow and prosper. Economic Dev Entity for Dare County, Economic Summit/EBSY Awards, OBX MADE, Business Retention & Expansion Program, Business Incubator, Community Housing Initiative, Partner Resources.


Training & Leading Development- Focus on Programs in workforce training, business needs and leadership development. Leadership Outer Banks, Leadership OBX Alumni Program, Workshops & Seminars, Education & Civic Involvement, Telling Our Story.


Advocacy- Advocating on behalf of the membership on issues of importance to the business community. Voice for business in the OBX region, Road to Raleigh Program, Monitor and Track Legislation, Respond to legislative issues.
